My name is Gary Bennett and my wife, Doris and I have been married for 30 years. Our son, Allen manages Downtown Pawn and Gun. His name is Allen Bennett. Allen and his wife, Christine have three children, Jordan Taylor and brand new twins named Austin and Lindsey. We are all active in the community and we care about our customers. We brag that we have the lowest gold, diamond and gun prices in Ocala. We work hard to maintain this reputation. We are a full sporting goods store, jewelry store, and carry TV's, VCR's, cameras, tools collectables, bikes, stereo equipment and MORE ! We were the first in Ocala to get on the internet, the first on a major billboard, one of the first to completely computerize our store, and we are special order experts. If we don't have it then we will order it for you at about a 10% profit margin. We do approximately 100 orders a month on new merchandise, such an guns, gold items, and hard to get items. We are a pawnshop with a retail store look. We have departments, divided by categories and each employee is trained to help you in a quick and helpful manner. We have a full time jeweler who has been with us from day one. He can clean and repair any item in the way of jewelry or watches. He has been a watch maker for 44 years of his life. In a lot of cases, he can repair jewelry while you wait. After our son finished college, I talked him into working for me. He now manages Downtown Pawn and Gun, while my wife and I own and operate a brand new business, OCALA GOLD & DIAMOND CENTER, INC. Downtown Pawn & Gun has grown to have a full time professional gun man to run the Gun Department. We also have two girls that run our jewelry department full time. We have grown to 14 cases of jewelry that boasts over $500,000 wholesale value. We have a well lighted store that is family oriented, where you will feel right at home.
